Terms Used In Texas Business Organizations Code 200.153
- Business: means a trade, occupation, profession, or other commercial activity. See Texas Business Organizations Code 1.002
- Personal property: All property that is not real property.
- Real estate investment trust: means an entity governed as a real estate investment trust under Title 5. See Texas Business Organizations Code 1.002
Except as otherwise provided by this code, the shares and other securities of a real estate investment trust are:
(1) personal property for all purposes; and
(2) transferable in accordance with Chapter 8, Business & Commerce Code.
