- Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.
A court granting community supervision to a defendant convicted of an offense punishable as a state jail felony under § 42.03, Penal Code, shall require as a condition of community supervision that the defendant submit to not less than 10 days of confinement in a county jail.
