Terms Used In Texas Code of Criminal Procedure 58.201
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
In this subchapter, “victim” means a person who is the subject of:
(1) an offense that allegedly constitutes family violence, as defined by § 71.004, Family Code; or
(2) an offense that is part of the same criminal episode, as defined by § 3.01, Penal Code, as an offense described by Subdivision (1).
