Texas Education Code 39.039 – Prohibition On Political Contribution or Activity by Certain Contractors
(a) A person who is an agent of an entity that has been contracted to develop or implement assessment instruments required under § 39.023 commits an offense if the person makes or authorizes a political contribution to or takes part in, directly or indirectly, the campaign of any person seeking election to or serving on the State Board of Education.
(b) A person who is an agent of an entity that has been contracted to develop or implement assessment instruments required under § 39.023 commits an offense if the person serves as a member of a formal or informal advisory committee established by the commissioner, agency staff, or the State Board of Education to advise the commissioner, agency staff, or the State Board of Education regarding policies or implementation of the requirements of this subchapter.
