- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Fee simple: Absolute title to property with no limitations or restrictions regarding the person who may inherit it.
- Property: means real and personal property. See Texas Government Code 311.005
For the purpose of carrying out any power conferred by this subchapter, an authority may acquire the fee simple title to land and other property and easements by condemnation in the manner provided by Chapter 21, Property Code. An authority is a municipal corporation within the meaning of § 21.021(c), Property Code. The amount of and character or interest in land, other property, and easements to be acquired shall be determined by the board of directors.
