Terms Used In Texas Education Code 52.501
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
In this chapter:
(1) “Board” means the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
(2) “Board interest and sinking fund” means an interest and sinking fund established by the board under § 52.03 of this code.
(3) “Board student loan fund” means a student loan fund established by the board under § 52.04 of this code.
(4) “Bond” means a general obligation bond issued by the board under § 50b-4, 50b-5, 50b-6, or 50b-7, Article III, Texas Constitution, or any former provision of the Texas Constitution authorizing bonds to finance educational loans to students.
(5) “Student loan program” means the student loan program administered by the board under this chapter.
