- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
Except as otherwise provided by the governor, the rules of evidence generally applicable to a civil suit in the district court apply to the hearing of an election contest.
