Terms Used In Texas Election Code 64.006
- Measure: means a question or proposal submitted in an election for an expression of the voters' will. See Texas Election Code 1.005
- Proposition: means the wording appearing on a ballot to identify a measure. See Texas Election Code 1.005
A vote on a particular measure must be indicated by placing an “X” or other mark that clearly shows the voter’s intent in the appropriate square that is beside the proposition and that indicates the way the voter desires to vote on the measure.
