Terms Used In Texas Election Code Chapter 145 > Subchapter C - Independent Candidate in General Election for State and County Officers

  • Comptroller: means the state comptroller of public accounts. See Texas Government Code 312.011
  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Decedent: A deceased person.
  • General election: means an election, other than a primary election, that regularly recurs at fixed dates. See Texas Election Code 1.005
