Terms Used In Texas Government Code 1206.001
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
In this subchapter, “issuer” means this state, a department, agency, or instrumentality of this state, or a municipal corporation or other political subdivision of this state that is authorized to borrow money and issue bonds.
