Terms Used In Texas Government Code 155.104
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
In addition to the information submitted under § 1104.306, Estates Code, the director may require a private professional guardian or a person who represents or plans to represent the interests of a ward as a guardian on behalf of the private professional guardian to submit information considered necessary to monitor the person’s compliance with the applicable standards adopted under § 155.101 or with the certification requirements of § 155.102.
