Terms Used In Texas Government Code 2152.065
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Presiding officer: A majority-party Senator who presides over the Senate and is charged with maintaining order and decorum, recognizing Members to speak, and interpreting the Senate's rules, practices and precedents.
If the commission must be represented on a board or committee, the executive director or the executive director’s designee shall serve as the commission’s representative on the board or committee unless the presiding officer of the commission elects to personally serve as the commission’s representative or appoints a specific person to serve as the commission’s representative on the board or committee.
