Terms Used In Texas Government Code 2308.251
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- United States: includes a department, bureau, or other agency of the United States of America. See Texas Government Code 311.005
In this subchapter:
(1) “Board” means a local workforce development board.
(2) “Veteran” means a person who:
(A) has served in:
(i) the army, navy, air force, coast guard, or marine corps of the United States or the United States Public Health Service under 42 U.S.C. § 201 et seq., as amended;
(ii) the Texas military forces as defined by § 437.001; or
(iii) an auxiliary service of one of those branches of the armed forces; and
(B) has been honorably discharged from the branch of the service in which the person served.
