(a) This chapter may be cited as the Uniform Municipal Courts of Record Act.
(b) This subchapter applies to:
(1) each municipality listed in this chapter; and
(2) each other municipality in which the governing body of the municipality has created a municipal court of record as authorized by § 30.00003.

(c) If a provision of this subchapter conflicts with a specific provision for a particular municipality, the specific provision controls.
