Terms Used In Texas Government Code 411.0011
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Justice: when applied to a magistrate, means justice of the peace. See Texas Government Code 312.011
For purposes of this chapter, a reference to “criminal justice agency” includes a local government corporation created under Subchapter D, Chapter 431, Transportation Code, for governmental purposes relating to criminal identification activities, including forensic analysis, that allocates a substantial part of its annual budget to those criminal identification activities.
