Texas Government Code 437.154 – Report of Military Use of Property
(a) If the department receives notice from the General Land Office as provided by § 31.156, Natural Resources Code, the department shall produce a report evaluating the military use of any real property under the management and control of the department.
(b) Not later than August 1 of the year in which the commissioner of the General Land Office submits a report as provided by § 31.157, Natural Resources Code, the department shall submit a preliminary report of the report required under Subsection (a) to the commissioner of the General Land Office identifying the real property used for military purposes. Not later than September 1 of the year in which the commissioner of the General Land Office submits a report as provided by § 31.157, Natural Resources Code, the department shall submit the final report as required by Subsection (a) to:
(1) the governor;
(2) the presiding officer of each house of the legislature;
(3) the Legislative Budget Board; and
(4) the governor’s budget office.

- Presiding officer: A majority-party Senator who presides over the Senate and is charged with maintaining order and decorum, recognizing Members to speak, and interpreting the Senate's rules, practices and precedents.
- Property: means real and personal property. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
- Year: means 12 consecutive months. See Texas Government Code 311.005
