(a) The commission shall hold at least six regular meetings each year on dates fixed by the commission. The commission may meet at other times at the call of the presiding officer or as provided by commission rule.
(b) § 551.002 does not apply to a closed meeting of the commission relating to the negotiation of a lottery operator’s contract if the commission determines, in writing, that an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the commission’s position in the negotiations.
