(a) The committee shall meet at least once in each quarter of the calendar year and at any other time at the call of the presiding officer.
(b) The committee may hold a meeting by telephone conference call or other video or broadcast technology.

- Presiding officer: A majority-party Senator who presides over the Senate and is charged with maintaining order and decorum, recognizing Members to speak, and interpreting the Senate's rules, practices and precedents.
- Year: means 12 consecutive months. See Texas Government Code 311.005
