Terms Used In Texas Government Code 547.0405

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • Year: means 12 consecutive months. See Texas Government Code 311.005

Not later than the 30th day of each fiscal year, the commission shall make available to the community collaborative established in the county described by § 547.0402 a grant in an amount equal to the lesser of:
(1) the amount appropriated to the commission for that fiscal year for a mental health jail diversion pilot program in that county; or
(2) the collaborative’s available matching funds.
