(a) An employee authorizing a deduction under this subchapter or a person designated by the employee may change or revoke the authorization by delivering written notice of the change or revocation to the comptroller or the appropriate financial officer of an institution of higher education.
(b) An authorization is effective until the comptroller or financial officer receives the notice.
Terms Used In Texas Government Code 659.106
- Comptroller: means the state comptroller of public accounts. See Texas Government Code 312.011
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Written: includes any representation of words, letters, symbols, or figures. See Texas Government Code 311.005
(c) The notice must be given in the form and manner prescribed by the comptroller or financial officer.
