(a) For the violation of this subchapter or a rule adopted under this subchapter, the department may:
(1) deny, suspend, revoke, or refuse to renew a permit;
(2) suspend a permit in an emergency; or
(3) rescind training program approval.
(b) Except as provided by § 142.028, the procedure by which the department takes a disciplinary action and the procedure by which a disciplinary action is appealed are governed by the department’s rules for a formal hearing and by Chapter 2001, Government Code.
