(a) If a facility, financial management services agency, or individual employer believes that a conviction may bar a person from employment in a facility or by the individual employer under § 250.006 or may be a contraindication to employment, the facility or individual employer shall notify the applicant or employee.
(b) The Department of Public Safety of the State of Texas shall give a person notified under Subsection (a) the opportunity to be heard concerning the accuracy of the criminal history record information and shall notify the facility or individual employer if inaccurate information is discovered.

- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
