(a) The department shall use the data collected under this subchapter to publish an annual report regarding:
(1) the amount of charity care, bad debt, and other uncompensated care hospitals provide;
(2) the use of hospital services by indigent patients; and
(3) the effect of indigent care services on hospitals.
(b) Repealed by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 726, Sec. 5(1), eff. Sept. 1, 1995.

- Charity: An agency, institution, or organization in existence and operating for the benefit of an indefinite number of persons and conducted for educational, religious, scientific, medical, or other beneficent purposes.
(c) The department shall enter into an interagency agreement with the Texas Department of Insurance relating to the mental health and chemical dependency data collected under § 311.0335. The agreement shall address the collection, analysis, and sharing of the data by the agencies.
