(a) The review committee is subject to Chapter 325, Government Code (Texas Sunset Act). Unless continued in existence as provided by that chapter, the review committee is abolished and this chapter expires September 1, 2027.
(b) The Sunset Advisory Commission shall review the review committee during the two-year period preceding the date the department is scheduled for abolition under § 1001.003, but the review committee is continued in existence until the date provided by Subsection (a). This subsection expires September 1, 2025.
