- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Writ: A formal written command, issued from the court, requiring the performance of a specific act.
Sections 101.353 and 101.354 do not prevent an unauthorized person or insurer from filing a motion to quash a writ or to set aside service made under § 804.107 on the ground that the person or insurer has not engaged in the business of insurance as described by § 101.051.
