Terms Used In Texas Insurance Code 804.108
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Service of process: The service of writs or summonses to the appropriate party.
A person, as that term is defined by Section 823.002, that violates Chapter 823 is considered to have appointed the commissioner as agent for service of process on the person for an action or proceeding arising from a violation of that chapter.
