Terms Used In Texas Local Government Code 21.005
- Municipality: means a general-law municipality, home-rule municipality, or special-law municipality. See Texas Local Government Code 1.005
Not later than the first anniversary of the date of its incorporation, a newly incorporated municipality shall select a uniform election date under § 41.001, Election Code, to use for the general election of the members of the municipality’s governing body.
