Terms Used In Texas Local Government Code 212.133
- Municipality: means a general-law municipality, home-rule municipality, or special-law municipality. See Texas Local Government Code 1.005
- Property: means real and personal property. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Written: includes any representation of words, letters, symbols, or figures. See Texas Government Code 311.005
A municipality may not adopt a moratorium on property development unless the municipality:
(1) complies with the notice and hearing procedures prescribed by § 212.134; and
(2) makes written findings as provided by § 212.135, 212.1351, or 212.1352, as applicable.
