  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.

The board of adjustment shall:
(1) hear and decide an appeal, as provided by § 241.036, from an order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the administrative agency in the enforcement of an airport zoning regulation;
(2) hear and decide special exceptions to the terms of an airport zoning regulation when the regulation requires the board to do so; and
(3) hear and decide specific variances under § 241.034.
