Terms Used In Texas Local Government Code 43.0683
- Municipality: means a general-law municipality, home-rule municipality, or special-law municipality. See Texas Local Government Code 1.005
- Property: means real and personal property. See Texas Government Code 311.005
Not later than the seventh day after the date the governing body of the municipality adopts the resolution under § 43.0682, the municipality must mail to each resident and property owner in the area proposed to be annexed notification of the proposed annexation that includes:
(1) notice of the public hearing required by § 43.0684;
(2) an explanation of the 180-day petition period described by § 43.0685; and
(3) a description, list, and schedule of services to be provided by the municipality in the area on or after annexation as provided by § 43.0682.
