Terms Used In Texas Local Government Code 62.081
- Municipality: means a general-law municipality, home-rule municipality, or special-law municipality. See Texas Local Government Code 1.005
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
A person who has a claim against an abolished municipality must present a verified statement of the amount of the claim to the receiver within six months after the date the receiver is appointed.
