Terms Used In Texas Natural Resources Code 33.174

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.

The petition for the appeal must be filed within 30 days after the date of the final action of the board or 30 days after the effective date of the action, whichever is the later date.
