Terms Used In Texas Occupations Code 162.159

  • Board: means the Texas Medical Board. See Texas Occupations Code 151.002
  • Discovery: Lawyers' examination, before trial, of facts and documents in possession of the opponents to help the lawyers prepare for trial.
  • Subpoena: A command to a witness to appear and give testimony.

The information collected, maintained, or stored by the board under this subchapter is privileged and confidential and not subject to discovery, subpoena, or other means of legal compulsion for its release or to disclosure under Chapter 552, Government Code, except as otherwise provided by this subchapter.
