Terms Used In Texas Occupations Code 2001.401
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
A person may not, for direct or indirect consideration, lease or otherwise make a premises available for conducting bingo unless the person is:
(1) a licensed commercial lessor; or
(2) a person who leases or otherwise makes available premises to an organization that:
(A) has been issued a temporary license; and
(B) does not hold a regular license.
