- Presiding officer: A majority-party Senator who presides over the Senate and is charged with maintaining order and decorum, recognizing Members to speak, and interpreting the Senate's rules, practices and precedents.
The governor shall designate a member of the advisory board as the presiding officer of the advisory board to serve in that capacity at the will of the governor. The advisory board shall select from its membership an assistant presiding officer and other officers as the advisory board considers necessary to carry out the advisory board’s duties.
