Terms Used In Texas Parks and Wildlife Code 88.005
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Take: except as otherwise provided by this code, means collect, hook, hunt, net, shoot, or snare, by any means or device, and includes an attempt to take or to pursue in order to take. See Texas Parks and Wildlife Code 1.101
The department shall issue a permit to a qualified person to take endangered, threatened, or protected plants or parts thereof from public land for the purpose of propagation, education, or scientific studies.
