  • Comptroller: means the Comptroller of Public Accounts of the State of Texas. See Texas Tax Code 1.04
  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • Property: means real and personal property. See Texas Government Code 311.005

Notwithstanding any other law, for each fiscal year, the comptroller must deposit to the credit of the property tax relief fund an amount of revenue received from the tax imposed under this chapter sufficient to offset any decrease in deposits to that fund that results from the implementation of this subchapter.
