(a) On delivery to and acceptance by the commission of an instrument conveying to the state an interest described by § 391.181(a), the commission shall prepare and transmit to the comptroller a voucher covering the commission’s costs in acquiring the interest.
(b) The comptroller shall issue a warrant on the appropriate account covering the state’s obligation as evidenced by the voucher.

- Comptroller: means the state comptroller of public accounts. See Texas Government Code 312.011
- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
