(a) The department shall issue specialty license plates that include the image of the United States flag printed in black and white with a blue stripe crossing beneath the field of stars and the words “Blessed are the Peacemakers” at the bottom of each plate.
(b) After deduction of the department’s administrative costs, the remainder of the fee for issuance of the license plates shall be deposited to the credit of an account created by the comptroller in the manner provided by § 504.6012(b). Money deposited to that account may be used only by the State Preservation Board to maintain the Texas Peace Officers’ Memorial Monument under § 3105.004, Government Code.
