Terms Used In Texas Transportation Code 54.105

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
  • Year: means 12 consecutive months. See Texas Government Code 311.005

The aggregate amount of expense warrants issued under § 54.104(a)(2) that are outstanding at any time during a fiscal year may not exceed 50 percent of the difference between:
(1) the revenue of the board budgeted for that fiscal year; and
(2) the principal of and interest on board obligations other than expense warrants to be paid from the revenue of the board during that fiscal year.
