Terms Used In Texas Transportation Code 548.502
- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
A political subdivision or state agency for which the department certifies an inspection station under § 548.004:
(1) shall pay to the state $5.50 for each inspection under § 548.509; and
(2) may not be required to pay the remainder of the inspection fee.
