Terms Used In Texas Transportation Code Chapter 545 > Subchapter D - Right-of-Way
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.
