- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
Payment of water financial assistance bonds and obligations incurred under bond enhancement agreements and performance of official duties prescribed by § 49-d-8, Article III, Texas Constitution, and this subchapter may be enforced in a court of competent jurisdiction by mandamus or other appropriate proceedings.
