(a) The railroad commission may impose fees to cover the cost of:
(1) permitting, monitoring, and inspecting anthropogenic carbon dioxide injection wells for geologic storage and geologic storage facilities; and
(2) enforcing and implementing this subchapter and rules adopted by the railroad commission under this subchapter.
(b) Fees collected by the railroad commission under this section shall be deposited to the credit of the anthropogenic carbon dioxide storage trust fund established under § 121.003, Natural Resources Code.
