(a) Repealed by Acts 2019, 86th Leg., R.S., Ch. 108 (S.B. 755), Sec. 18(2), eff. May 22, 2019.
(b) The commission may employ counsel to represent the district in the preparation of any contract, to conduct any proceedings in or out of court, and to be the legal adviser of the commission on such terms as may be agreed upon by the commission.
Terms Used In Texas Water Code 62.077
- Commission: means the navigation and canal commission. See Texas Water Code 62.001
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- District: means a navigation district operating under the provisions of Article XVI, § 59, of the Texas Constitution. See Texas Water Code 62.001
(c) The fees of counsel shall be determined by the commission.
