Terms Used In Texas Water Code 63.172
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- District: means a self-liquidating navigation district. See Texas Water Code 63.001
- in writing: includes any representation of words, letters, or figures, whether by writing, printing, or other means. See Texas Government Code 312.011
- Signed: includes any symbol executed or adopted by a person with present intention to authenticate a writing. See Texas Government Code 311.005
A contract entered into by the district shall be in writing and signed by the contractors and the commissioners, any two of the commissioners, the executive director of the district, or an authorized representative of the executive director.
