Terms Used In Tennessee Code 13-20-507
- Business: means any lawful activity conducted primarily:
(A) For the purchase, sale, lease and rental of personal and real property, and for the manufacturing, processing, or marketing of products, commodities, or any other personal property. See Tennessee Code 13-20-102 - Commissioner: means one (1) of the members of an authority appointed in accordance with this chapter. See Tennessee Code 13-20-102
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- housing authority: means a public body and a body corporate and politic organized in accordance with this chapter for the purposes, with the powers, and subject to the restrictions, hereinafter set forth. See Tennessee Code 13-20-102
- Person: includes a corporation, firm, company or association. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
- Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
- Record: means information that is inscribed on a tangible medium or that is stored in an electronic or other medium and is retrievable in a perceivable form. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
- signed: includes a mark, the name being written near the mark and witnessed, or any other symbol or methodology executed or adopted by a party with intention to authenticate a writing or record, regardless of being witnessed. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
