Terms Used In Tennessee Code 56-26-304
- Charge data: means information and figures concerning the dollar amount billed by hospitals to patients on account of care, services, goods, accommodations, facilities and equipment furnished by or in a hospital. See Tennessee Code 56-26-301
- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Person: means any association, aggregate of individuals, business, company, corporation, individual, joint-stock company, Lloyds-type organization, organization, partnership, receiver, reciprocal or interinsurance exchange, trustee or society. See Tennessee Code 56-16-102
Any person furnishing charge data pursuant to the requirements of this part shall be immune from any civil liability or damages claimed by any person by reason of actions in compliance with this part.
