Terms Used In Tennessee Code 8-27-806
- post-employment benefits: means non-pension benefits paid on behalf of former state employees, former state employees' beneficiaries, authorized local education agency employees or the authorized local education agency employees' beneficiaries after separation from service. See Tennessee Code 8-27-801
- State: means the state of Tennessee. See Tennessee Code 8-34-101
Nothing in this part shall be construed to define or otherwise grant any rights or privileges to other post-employment benefits. The rights and privileges, if any, shall be governed by the terms of the state‘s or the local education agency’s post-employment benefit plans.
