- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Apprenticeship: means a program that:
(A) Meets the federal guidelines set out in 29 C. See Tennessee Code 62-76-201 - Licensing authority: means any state agency with the authority to impose training, education, or licensure fees to practice in a profession. See Tennessee Code 62-76-201
- Person: includes a corporation, firm, company or association. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
- State agency: means a state board, agency, or commission attached to the division of regulatory boards, as listed in §. See Tennessee Code 62-76-201
